Behavior-
Dolphins swim in groups called pods. There are about 2 to 15 dolphins in a pod. Sometimes a pod joins another pod during migration or just in general. Occasionally these pods form a group bond and stick together.
Some scientist believe that dolphins conserve their energy by swimming alongside boats, it's called " bow riding." While riding along side the boat, dolphins can jump as high as 4.9 m (16 ft), from the surface of the water in the air landing on their bellies, backs, or sides in a behavior called a " breach." Both young and old dolphins chase one another, carry objects around, toss seaweed to each other, and use objects to entertain themselves.
