Where do Dolphins Live?
It depends on its species. Some species of dolphins live in shallow waters or temperate oceans. Bottlenose dolphins are mostly found in the Pacific Ocean, but they are also located in the Atlantic, Medditeranian Sea, Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. Bottlenose dolphins tend to sick around shallow waters and they like warmer and topical climates. But, sometimes they are found in colder climates because of food.
Migration-
Coastal Bottlenose Dolphins- stay in shallow and warm areas. They stay within 5 miles from the shoreline. Their bodies are smallar than offshore types, 6 to 10 feet long. Coastal Bottlenose Dolphins usually are found in bays looking for prey.
Some of the Bottlenose Dolphins migrate on the coast, some prefer offshore.
Offshore Bottlenose Dolphins- are naturally different from coastal dolphins. They are darker , larger (14 feet). During Migration, Offshore Bottlenose Dolphins
are found in southern California, New York, and down to Florida and the Gulf of Mexico.
